Chali 2na in Haarlem

Chali 2na is an American rapper and visual artist, born Charles Stewart in Chicago in 1971. He is known for his deep baritone delivery and as a founding member of alternative hip-hop group Jurassic 5; he was also part of Ozomatli’s early lineup. His catalog includes the Jurassic 5 tracks “Concrete Schoolyard,” “Quality Control” and “What’s Golden,” as well as the solo album Fish Outta Water. Chali 2na spent the late 1990s and 2000s touring as a member of Jurassic 5, whose concerts featured four MCs and two DJs. The group’s reunion brought him to Coachella in 2013 and Glastonbury in 2014. After releasing Adventures of a Reluctant Superhero together, Chali 2na and British DJ Krafty Kuts took their rapper-and-DJ show on tour.
