Chambao in Málaga

Chambao is a Spanish flamenco-electronic project formed in Málaga in the early 2000s and led by singer María del Mar Rodríguez, known as La Mari. Its flamenco chill sound became associated with songs including “Ahí estás tú,” “Pokito a poko” and “Papeles mojados,” as well as the albums Endorfinas en la mente and Con otro aire. In 2009, Chambao performed beside the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentine Patagonia for En el fin del mundo, a concert film and live recording. The project closed its first chapter with the 2018 farewell show De Chambao a La Mari at WiZink Center in Madrid. Since its return, its concerts have again been led by La Mari.
