The Chameleons in Los Angeles

The Chameleons are an English post-punk band formed in Middleton, Greater Manchester, in 1981. Their spacious, guitar-led sound is captured on the albums Script of the Bridge, What Does Anything Mean? Basically and Strange Times, and in songs including “Second Skin,” “Up the Down Escalator” and “Swamp Thing.” A 1984 concert at London’s Camden Palace was filmed, preserving the band’s early live lineup. The best-known lineup reunited in 2000 and recorded performances at Manchester Academy that were released as Live at the Academy. After returning under The Chameleons name in 2021, the band toured North America in 2022, performing Script of the Bridge in full and appearing with Theatre of Hate.

Rosegarden Funeral Party is an American gothic rock and post-punk band formed in Dallas in 2016 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Leah Lane. The group is known for the albums Martyr, In the Wake of Fire and At the Stake, as well as songs including “Fear of Feeling Nothing” and “Once in a While.” In 2022, the band opened the North American Deja Vu Tour for The Chameleons and The Mission, playing clubs and theatres across the route. Its own concerts use a full-band format led by Leah Lane on vocals and guitar.
