Champian Fulton in Copenhagen

Champian Fulton is an American jazz pianist and singer, born in 1985 in Norman, Oklahoma. She plays straight-ahead and vocal jazz, interpreting standards while accompanying herself at the piano. Her recordings include Champian Sings and Swings, the instrumental album Speechless and the Charlie Parker tribute Birdsong. After moving to New York in 2003, Champian Fulton performed regularly at Birdland and Smoke Jazz Club, leading small groups from the piano and singing. She later played Ronnie Scott’s in London and appeared at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
