Charlie Hunter in Poznan

Charlie Hunter is an American jazz guitarist and composer, born in 1967, who plays custom seven- and eight-string guitars that let him handle bass lines, chords and melody at the same time. His recordings include Bing Bing Bing!, Ready...Set...Shango! and Everybody Has a Plan Until They Get Punched in the Mouth; he also played on Norah Jones’s album Come Away with Me. As a member of Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Charlie Hunter opened for U2 on the Zoo TV Tour in 1992. He then led the Charlie Hunter Trio through jazz clubs and festivals, and later toured in a duo with drummer Scott Amendola. His concert work has also included Garage a Trois, formed with Stanton Moore and Skerik.
