Chesney Hawkes in Morley

Chesney Hawkes is a British pop-rock singer, songwriter and actor, born in Windsor in 1971. He starred in the film Buddy’s Song and became known for its Nik Kershaw-written theme “The One and Only,” which topped the UK singles chart in 1991. The One and Only 30th Anniversary Tour took Hawkes to theatres around the UK for shows centred on his recordings from the early 1990s and beyond. He has also performed at recurring retro-pop events including Rewind Festival and the Let’s Rock series.
