Nick Murphy is an Australian singer, songwriter and electronic producer born in Melbourne in 1988. He first became known under the name Chet Faker through the EP Thinking in Textures and the album Built on Glass, which includes “Talk Is Cheap” and “Gold.” He began releasing music under his birth name in 2016, including the album Run Fast Sleep Naked. In 2015, he performed at Coachella as Chet Faker while touring behind Built on Glass. After adopting the Nick Murphy billing, he toured the Missing Link material and followed it with concerts supporting Run Fast Sleep Naked in 2019.
