Artist
Chie Ayado is a Japanese jazz singer and pianist, born in Osaka in 1957. She is known for gospel-rooted interpretations of jazz standards and popular songs, often accompanying herself at the piano. Her recordings include the debut album For All We Know and versions of “Tennessee Waltz” and “Amazing Grace.” In 2003 she performed in New York, placing her singing and piano playing at the centre of the concert. The performance was released as Live! at Carnegie Hall.
