Christian Scott, also known as Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah, is an American trumpeter, composer and bandleader born in New Orleans in 1983. He calls his approach “stretch music,” and is known for the albums Rewind That, Yesterday You Said Tomorrow and the Centennial Trilogy. Live at Newport documented his band at the JVC Jazz Festival in Newport in 2008. More than a decade later, the live album Axiom captured a 2020 engagement at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York.
