Circuit des Yeux in Newcastle upon Tyne

Circuit des Yeux is the experimental music project of American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Haley Fohr, begun in 2007 and based in Chicago. Fohr’s contralto voice anchors music that draws on folk, art rock and drone; key releases include In Plain Speech, Reaching for Indigo and the orchestral album -io, which features “Dogma” and “Vanishing.” Circuit des Yeux performed at Pitchfork Music Festival in 2017 during the period surrounding Reaching for Indigo. The arrangements later expanded for -io, and Fohr presented the album with an ensemble at Chicago’s Thalia Hall in 2021.
