ClariS is a Japanese pop vocal group formed in Hokkaido by school friends Clara and Alice. The group debuted in 2010 with “irony,” the opening theme for the anime Oreimo, and became closely associated with anime music through songs including “Connect” for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, “CLICK” for Nisekoi and “Hitorigoto” for Eromanga Sensei. Karen joined Clara after Alice’s departure in 2014. ClariS held their first solo concert, ClariS 1st Live: Tobira no Saki e, at Zepp Tokyo in 2016. The duo moved to Nippon Budokan for ClariS 1st Budokan Concert: Futatsu no Kamen to Ushinawareta Taiyō in 2017, then removed their masks before the audience during a concert at Pacifico Yokohama later that year.
