Coilguns are a Swiss hardcore band formed in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2011 by musicians who were then members of The Ocean. Their music draws on mathcore, post-hardcore, noise rock and sludge metal; the albums Commuters, Millennials, Watchwinders and Odd Love mark the main stages of their recorded work. Coilguns toured European clubs after Commuters and returned to the road behind Millennials and Watchwinders. Their performance of Watchwinders at Soulcrusher Festival was later issued as a live recording, preserving the band’s appearance in Nijmegen.
