Colin Benders in Enschede

Colin Benders is a Dutch trumpeter, composer and electronic producer born in Utrecht in 1986. Performing as Kyteman, he became known for the hip-hop and jazz project The Hermit Sessions and its instrumental single “Sorry,” supported by a large ensemble that developed into the Kyteman Orchestra. He later shifted his focus to improvised techno made with modular synthesizers. Kyteman’s Hip Hop Orchestra carried The Hermit Sessions onto major Dutch stages, including Pinkpop and Lowlands. After closing that chapter, Colin Benders began performing live electronic sets built in real time on his modular system, taking the format to techno events and clubs including Awakenings and Berghain.
