Colin James in Grenå

Colin James is a Canadian singer and guitarist, born in Regina in 1964, who plays blues, blues rock and jump blues. His self-titled debut introduced songs including “Voodoo Thing” and “Five Long Years,” while “Just Came Back” became a signature recording. He later explored horn-driven swing on Colin James and the Little Big Band. In 1984, Colin James opened for Stevie Ray Vaughan in Regina after the scheduled support act failed to appear, and Vaughan subsequently invited him to open further shows. He later took both his electric blues-rock band and the horn-led Little Big Band repertoire through Canadian theatres and festivals, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival and Ottawa Bluesfest.
