Colin Stetson is a Canadian-American saxophonist and composer, born in Ann Arbor and based in Montreal, whose work draws on experimental jazz, minimalism and drone. He is known for the New History Warfare trilogy, the album All This I Do for Glory and film scores including Hereditary and The Menu. In the early 2010s, Colin Stetson performed in the touring lineups of Arcade Fire and Bon Iver. His solo concerts center on bass and alto saxophones, using circular breathing, vocalization and contact microphones to amplify breath, key percussion and overtones. At the 2015 Unsound Festival in Kraków, he presented Sorrow: A Reimagining of Górecki’s 3rd Symphony with an ensemble.

Brighde Chaimbeul is a Scottish piper from the Isle of Skye who plays music rooted in Gaelic tradition on the Scottish smallpipes. Her recordings include the debut album The Reeling and Carry Them With Us, whose sustained pipe drones and melodies are joined by saxophonist Colin Stetson. Brighde Chaimbeul has performed at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, bringing her smallpipes into folk and experimental-music settings. She also presented a solo Tiny Desk Concert built around the instrument for NPR Music.
