Conchita is the stage persona created by Austrian singer Thomas Neuwirth in 2011. She won the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the pop ballad “Rise Like a Phoenix,” and the self-titled album Conchita followed in 2015. A 2016 concert at Sydney Opera House paired Conchita with cabaret performer Trevor Ashley and an orchestra. In 2018, she performed with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus, a collaboration documented on the album From Vienna with Love.
