Conjunto Primavera is a Mexican norteño-sax band formed in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, in 1978. The group is known for romantic regional Mexican songs shaped by saxophone and accordion, including “Necesito Decirte,” “Morir de Amor” and “Ave Cautiva,” with Tony Meléndez on lead vocals. Conjunto Primavera has toured Mexico and the United States for decades, playing dance halls, palenques, theatres and arenas. Its concert history includes Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional and an appearance at RodeoHouston.
