Corinne Bailey Rae is a British singer-songwriter from Leeds whose music draws on soul, jazz, R&B and pop. Her self-titled 2006 debut introduced “Put Your Records On” and “Like a Star”; later albums include The Sea, The Heart Speaks in Whispers and Black Rainbows. In 2007, she performed at Live Earth at Wembley Stadium and appeared at Glastonbury Festival that summer. She later brought the darker, more experimental Black Rainbows material to the stage on a 2023 tour that included a concert at the Barbican.
Laura Mvula is a British singer, songwriter and composer, born in Birmingham in 1986, whose music draws on soul, R&B, choral writing and synth-pop. Her debut album Sing to the Moon introduced songs including “Green Garden” and “She”; The Dreaming Room and Pink Noise later extended her catalogue into orchestral soul and electronic pop. In 2013, she performed at Glastonbury Festival during the Sing to the Moon album cycle. The following year, she played a headline concert at Royal Albert Hall.
