Corvus Corax in Berlin

Corvus Corax is a German medieval-music ensemble formed in 1989. The group is known for forceful arrangements built around bagpipes, shawms and percussion, using reconstructions of historical instruments. Its catalogue includes the albums Mille Anni Passi Sunt and Cantus Buranus, the latter setting texts from the medieval Carmina Burana manuscript. In 2005, Corvus Corax presented Cantus Buranus at Museum Island in Berlin, expanding its instrumental lineup with choir and orchestra. The group has also performed at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig and at Wacken Open Air.
