Cowboy Junkies in Great Barrington

Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative-country band formed in Toronto in 1985 by siblings Margo, Michael and Peter Timmins and bassist Alan Anton. Their sparse mix of country, folk and rock found a wider audience through the album The Trinity Session, which includes “Misguided Angel” and their version of the Velvet Underground’s “Sweet Jane.” The live collection 200 More Miles drew on concert recordings made between 1985 and 1994, documenting the band’s stage work in the years that followed. In 2006, they returned to the Church of the Holy Trinity to perform that record with Ryan Adams, Natalie Merchant and Vic Chesnutt for the concert film and album Trinity Revisited.
