Crocodiles are an American noise-pop band formed in San Diego in 2008 by Brandon Welchez and Charles Rowell. Distorted guitars and drum-machine rhythms underpin their shoegaze, garage-rock and psychedelic-pop sound. Early releases include “Neon Jesus” and the albums Summer of Hate and Sleep Forever, followed by Endless Flowers and Crimes of Passion. Crocodiles played Coachella in 2010 and went on to tour with an expanded live lineup built around Welchez and Rowell. The band has also taken its noise-pop catalog to Primavera Sound and SXSW.
