Crush 40 in Los Angeles

Crush 40 is a Japanese-American hard-rock band formed in 1998 around Sega composer and guitarist Jun Senoue and vocalist Johnny Gioeli. Closely associated with the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the band recorded “Open Your Heart,” “Live & Learn” and “What I’m Made Of...,” pairing melodic hard rock with music written for Sega games. In 2010, Crush 40 played Summer of Sonic in London, their first full-length concert outside Japan. The following year, they performed at Sega’s Sonic Boom gathering in Los Angeles.
