Cuco in Los Angeles

Cuco is the stage name of American singer, songwriter and producer Omar Banos, who grew up in Hawthorne, California. His hazy bedroom pop draws on psychedelic pop, R&B and Latin music; he became known through songs including “Lo Que Siento” and “Lover Is a Day,” followed by the albums Para Mi and Fantasy Gateway. Cuco performed at Coachella in 2018, the same year he brought his band to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. He later took Para Mi on a North American headline tour in 2019 and returned to the road for the Fantasy Gateway Tour in 2022.
