Cynic Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Cynic is an American progressive metal band formed in Miami in 1987 by guitarist and vocalist Paul Masvidal and drummer Sean Reinert. Their debut album, Focus, joined technical death metal with jazz-derived rhythms, clean vocals and vocoder passages on tracks including “Veil of Maya” and “How Could I.” The band later returned with Traced in Air and continued its progressive direction on Kindly Bent to Free Us and Ascension Codes.

After re-forming in 2006, Cynic returned to European stages and performed at Hellfest and Wacken Open Air. In 2023, the band co-headlined a North American tour with Atheist built around material from Focus; Cryptodira opened those dates for Cynic and Atheist.
