Cyrille Aimee in South Orange

Cyrille Aimee is a French jazz singer, born in 1984 and raised in Samois-sur-Seine, a town closely associated with guitarist Django Reinhardt. Her music draws on vocal jazz, swing and pop songwriting, and her best-known albums include It’s a Good Day, Let’s Get Lost and the Stephen Sondheim project Move On: A Sondheim Adventure. She won the vocal competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2007, before her New York club performances were documented on Cyrille Aimée & Friends: Live at Smalls. She later performed with her touring band at the Newport Jazz Festival.
