Dämmerland is a German fantasy project that combines music with an audio-drama narrative. Conceived by Versengold frontman Malte Hoyer and Kissin’ Dynamite vocalist Hannes Braun, it features folk musician Annie Hurdy Gurdy as its principal singer. Its 2024 debut, Dämmerland, comprised an audio drama, a 16-song album and an accompanying book, drawing on folk metal, heavy metal, power metal and darkwave. Members of Saltatio Mortis, Lord of the Lost, Schandmaul, Versengold, Fiddler’s Green and Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen contributed to the project; the story continued in 2025 with Dämmerland 2: Zwischen zwei Himmeln.
