Dan Tyminski in North Myrtle Beach

Dan Tyminski is an American bluegrass singer, guitarist and mandolinist, born in Vermont in 1967. A longtime member of Alison Krauss & Union Station, he supplied the lead vocal for the Soggy Bottom Boys’ “I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow” in O Brother, Where Art Thou? and later sang on Avicii’s “Hey Brother.” His solo catalog includes Carry Me Across the Mountain, Wheels and God Fearing Heathen. The 2000 Down from the Mountain concert at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium featured him performing music from the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. He then joined the concert project’s touring cast and continued his long live association with Alison Krauss & Union Station, playing theatres, amphitheatres and bluegrass festivals. He has also fronted the Dan Tyminski Band for performances drawn from his solo records. He has performed at MerleFest in North Carolina, and his festival history also includes Colorado’s Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
