Artist
Danças Ocultas are a Portuguese instrumental quartet formed in Águeda in 1989. All four musicians play diatonic accordion, creating chamber music shaped by Portuguese folk traditions, jazz and contemporary composition. Their recorded work includes the albums Ar, Pulsar and Tarab. Amplitude expanded the quartet’s established four-accordion concert format through a collaboration with Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras. Danças Ocultas performed the programme at Casa da Música in Porto and Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon.
