About Daoko
Daoko is a Japanese singer and rapper, born in 1997, whose music draws on hip-hop, electronic pop and J-pop. She began posting music online as a teenager and made her major-label debut with the album DAOKO in 2015. Her best-known songs include “Girl,” recorded with TeddyLoid, and “Uchiage Hanabi,” her collaboration with Kenshi Yonezu for the anime film Fireworks.
She staged her first solo headline concert, DAOKO THE LIVE!, at Shibuya Club Quattro in 2016. She later toured Japan with DAOKO TOUR 2017-2018 “THANK YOU BLUE,” ending the run at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo in 2018.
