Dargen D'Amico in Milan

Dargen D'Amico is an Italian rapper, singer-songwriter and producer, born in Milan in 1980. He began in the hip-hop group Sacre Scuole with Guè and Jake La Furia before establishing a solo catalogue that includes the album Musica senza musicisti. His best-known songs include “Dove si balla” and “Onda alta,” both examples of his pop-facing rap and intricate wordplay. In 2022, Dargen D'Amico performed “Dove si balla” at the Festival di Sanremo and later appeared at the Concerto del Primo Maggio in Rome. He returned to the competition in 2024 with “Onda alta,” performing again at Teatro Ariston.
