Darius Rucker in Salt Lake City

Darius Rucker is an American singer-songwriter, born in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1966. He first became known as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, whose songs include “Hold My Hand,” “Let Her Cry” and “Only Wanna Be with You.” As a solo country artist, he established a separate catalogue through the album Learn to Live and songs including “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” “Alright” and “Wagon Wheel.” In 2012, Rucker was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He later took his country show across North American amphitheatres and arenas on the True Believers Tour in 2014 and the Southern Style Tour in 2015, followed by the Starting Fires Tour in 2023.
