Das Ich in Übach-Palenberg

Das Ich is a German electronic music project formed in Bayreuth in 1989 by vocalist Stefan Ackermann and composer and keyboardist Bruno Kramm. Its darkwave and industrial sound became closely associated with Neue Deutsche Todeskunst, particularly through the album Die Propheten and songs including “Gottes Tod” and “Destillat.” During the 1990s, Das Ich took its concerts beyond Germany to other parts of Europe and North America. The live lineup is built around Ackermann’s vocals and Kramm’s electronics, often expanded by additional musicians, and the group has performed at Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig and M’era Luna Festival in Hildesheim.
