Dave Matthews Band in Baltimore

Dave Matthews Band is an American rock band formed in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 1991. Their music is rooted in rock, jazz improvisation, folk and funk, and they are known for songs including “Ants Marching,” “Crash into Me” and “Satellite,” as well as the albums Under the Table and Dreaming and Crash. In 2003, Dave Matthews Band played a free benefit concert in New York’s Central Park, later released as The Central Park Concert. The band has also built a long-running tradition of multi-night Labor Day performances at The Gorge Amphitheatre as part of its extensive summer touring. Dave Matthews leads a full band whose set lists change from night to night, and songs are frequently extended through instrumental improvisation. The Live Trax series documents this approach across concerts recorded throughout the band’s career. Chicago has hosted repeated amphitheatre and arena dates, while Englewood has seen recurring multi-night runs at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre.
