Death Cab for Cutie in Utrecht

Death Cab for Cutie is an American indie-rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington, in 1997 around singer and songwriter Ben Gibbard. The band is known for albums including Transatlanticism, Plans and Narrow Stairs, and for songs such as “The Sound of Settling,” “Soul Meets Body,” “I Will Follow You into the Dark” and “I Will Possess Your Heart.” In 2023, the band launched a joint 20th-anniversary tour with the Postal Service, built around two albums released in 2003. The concerts paired a full performance of Transatlanticism with Gibbard’s return to Give Up. The two acts performed at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl, then reunited in 2024 for All Points East in London.

Pool Kids are an American rock band formed in Tallahassee, Florida, in 2017. Their intricate guitar parts and shifting rhythms draw on math rock, emo and pop punk. The band established its sound on Music to Practice Safe Sex To and expanded it on the self-titled album Pool Kids, which includes “That’s Physics, Baby” and “Conscious Uncoupling.” Pool Kids joined The Wonder Years for The Hum Goes On Forever Tour, performing on the same run as Hot Mulligan and Carly Cosgrove. Their subsequent live work included North American support dates for The Mountain Goats.
