Their 2004 debut album, You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine, established their bass-and-drums sound through songs including “Romantic Rights,” “Blood on Our Hands” and “Black History Month.” After a farewell performance at Toronto’s Kool Haus in 2006, the duo returned to the stage in 2011, playing a surprise show at Austin’s Beauty Bar before appearing at Coachella. The concert lineup is the core duo: Jesse F. Keeler plays distorted bass and synthesizer, while Sebastien Grainger sings and plays drums.
