Declan O'Rourke in Cork

Declan O'Rourke is an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin whose folk-rooted music centres on acoustic guitar and narrative lyrics. He became known through his debut album Since Kyabram and its song “Galileo (Someone Like You)”; later releases include the historical song cycle Chronicles of the Great Irish Famine and Arrivals, produced by Paul Weller. O'Rourke has headlined Vicar Street in Dublin and toured theatres across Ireland and Britain. His concert work has also included performances of Chronicles of the Great Irish Famine, whose songs have been presented with orchestral accompaniment at Dublin's National Concert Hall.
