Deep Forest in Edinburgh

Deep Forest is a French electronic music project founded in 1992 by Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez. The project makes atmospheric electronic music shaped by traditional vocal recordings and dance rhythms. “Sweet Lullaby” became its signature track, while “Marta’s Song” and the Grammy-winning album Boheme extended its catalogue. The 1999 live album Made in Japan documented the project’s late-1990s concerts and preserved stage arrangements of its early material. After Michel Sanchez left, Eric Mouquet became the project’s sole leader and has performed its catalogue under the Deep Forest name.
