Deerhoof in Pittsburgh

Deerhoof is an American experimental rock band formed in San Francisco in 1994. Their music uses jagged rhythms, distorted guitars and Satomi Matsuzaki’s high, direct vocals; albums including Apple O’, Milk Man, The Runners Four and Friend Opportunity established the group’s playful, unpredictable approach. In 2006, Deerhoof opened for Radiohead at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley during a run of West Coast shows. Their 2014 concert at Shindaita FEVER in Tokyo was later issued as the live album and film Fever 121614, documenting the band in its two-guitar, bass-and-drums format at Shindaita FEVER.
