Della Mae in Floyd

Della Mae is an American bluegrass and Americana band formed in Boston in 2009. Founded by fiddler Kimber Ludiker, the all-women group became known through albums including This World Oft Can Be, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Bluegrass Album, as well as Della Mae and Headlight. Della Mae toured internationally through the U.S. State Department’s American Music Abroad program, including performances in Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Their concerts feature an acoustic string-band lineup built around fiddle, guitar, mandolin, upright bass and vocal harmonies. The group has also performed at MerleFest in North Carolina and Celtic Connections in Glasgow.
