Demetri Martin in Aspen

Demetri Martin is an American stand-up comedian, writer and actor, born in New York City in 1973. He is known for deadpan one-liners, wordplay, drawings and short musical pieces, as well as the television series Important Things with Demetri Martin and his work as a contributor to The Daily Show. In 2003, he brought his solo show If I to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it won the Perrier Award. He later presented new stand-up in theatres on the Wandering Mind Tour and the I Feel Funny Tour, extending a live career also documented in several filmed specials. His stage shows combine spoken stand-up with diagrams and cartoons drawn on a large pad, plus brief songs played on guitar or keyboard. That solo format is captured in the special The Overthinker.
