About Depresión Sonora
Depresión Sonora is the Spanish post-punk project of Madrid musician Marcos Crespo, started in 2020 with a self-recorded, self-titled EP. Coldwave electronics, stark guitars and Spanish-language lyrics shaped songs including “Ya no hay verano” and “Hasta que llegue la muerte,” followed by the album El arte de morir muy despacio.
Depresión Sonora developed those home recordings into a full-band live set and toured clubs and festivals in Spain and Mexico. The project later played club dates in the United States and appeared at Coachella in 2024.
