Descartes A Kant in Wetzlar

Descartes a Kant are a Mexican experimental rock band formed in Guadalajara in 2001. Their music draws on punk, noise rock and jazz, and albums including Paper Dolls, Il Visore Lunatique and Victims of Love Propaganda established their catalogue; the latter was recorded with Steve Albini. Descartes a Kant have toured outside Mexico in the United States and Europe, carrying a theatrical full-band format into clubs and festivals. Costumes, choreographed movement and character-based performance are built into the songs onstage, including the band’s appearance at Mexico City’s Vive Latino.
