Desperate Journalist are a British post-punk band formed in London in 2012, comprising vocalist Jo Bevan, guitarist Rob Hardy, bassist Simon Drowner and drummer Caz Hellbent. Their sharp, melodic guitar music was established on the self-titled debut and songs including “Organ” and “Hollow”; later albums include Grow Up, In Search of the Miraculous and Maximum Sorrow!. In 2015, the band performed on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury Festival. Subsequent album cycles brought headline club tours around the United Kingdom and continental Europe, including an established run of dates in Germany.
