Despina Vandi in Zurich

Despina Vandi is a Greek pop and laïko singer, born in Tübingen in 1969 and raised in Kavala. She made her recording debut with Gela Mou and became known for albums including Profities and Gia, as well as songs such as “Ipofero,” “Gia,” “Opa Opa” and “Come Along Now.” The 2003 album Despina Vandi Live documented her concerts at Lycabettus Theatre in Athens. In 2008 she toured Greece with an anniversary programme celebrating her decade-long collaboration with songwriter and producer Phoebus, performing under the title 10 Hronia Mazi.
