Artist
Despised Icon are a Canadian deathcore band formed in Montreal in 2002. Their music draws on death metal, grindcore and hardcore, and they are known for albums including The Ills of Modern Man, Day of Mourning and Beast. In 2010, Despised Icon concluded a farewell run at Club Soda after announcing their breakup. They reunited for selected performances in 2014, including Amnesia Rockfest, and later resumed recording and touring. The concert format is a full-band set centered on the contrasting vocal parts of Alex Erian and Steve Marois.
