Artist
Destruction is a German thrash metal band formed in Weil am Rhein in 1982. Fast riffing and the voice of bassist Marcel “Schmier” Schirmer characterize records such as Infernal Overkill, Eternal Devastation and Release from Agony, while “Mad Butcher” and “Bestial Invasion” remain central songs in the band’s catalog. The 1989 concert album Live Without Sense documented Destruction on the road. Decades later, the band performed at Beastival in 2013 as part of The Big Teutonic 4 alongside Kreator, Sodom and Tankard. Destruction has performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Hellfest in France.
