Deva Premal & Miten in London

Deva Premal & Miten are a German-British duo who perform Sanskrit mantras and meditative new age music. Their partnership began after they met in India in 1990. They are known for albums including The Essence and Love Is Space, and for Deva Premal’s recording of the Gayatri Mantra. Released in 2009, In Concert documents their established stage format, combining mantra recitation, Deva Premal’s vocals and Miten’s songs and guitar. The A Deeper Light Tour later brought that repertoire to theatres and concert halls, where repeated chants invited audience participation. The touring ensemble included Nepalese bansuri player and vocalist Manose.
