Die Hektiker are an Austrian cabaret group founded in Mödling in 1981 by schoolmates Mini Bydlinski, Wolfgang “Fifi” Pissecker, Florian Scheuba and Werner Sobotka. Viktor Gernot replaced Mini Bydlinski after his departure in 1994. Their programmes include Hektische Zeiten, Nackt!, Echt, Silberhochzeit and 200 Jahre Die Hektiker. They also wrote, directed and performed in the television comedy Die kranken Schwestern, which received a Romy jury prize, and released recordings including Endlich!, Und? and Keine neue CD. Die Hektiker first appeared in theatres in Vienna before beginning their first tour of Austria in 1986. Their stage work later took them to Germany.
