Die Liga der gewöhnlichen Gentlemen is a German indie-pop band formed in Hamburg in 2012 after the dissolution of Superpunk. Singer and guitarist Carsten Friedrichs and bassist Tim Jürgens carried forward a mix of German-language pop, soul and garage rock on records including the debut album Jeder auf Erden ist wunderschön, Rüttel mal am Käfig, die Affen sollen was machen! and Alle Ampeln auf Gelb!. Knust has hosted the band for hometown concerts in Hamburg, while German club tours have also taken them to Lido in Berlin and Gebäude 9 in Cologne. Their shows present the songs as a full-band set built around guitars, keyboards, bass and drums, and most of their live work has remained on the German club circuit, including Gebäude 9 in Cologne.
