Die Seilschaft is a German rock band formed in 1992 as the backing group for singer-songwriter Gerhard Gundermann. Their work together produced the albums Der 7te Samurai, Frühstück für immer and Engel über dem Revier, as well as songs including “Gras” and “Linda.” The band toured with Gundermann throughout the 1990s, and its concert activity ended after his death in 1998. The musicians reunited in 2008 and subsequently returned to regular performances; their later shows use a full rock-band lineup led by Christian Haase and keep the songs of Gerhard Gundermann at the center of the set.
